Mac Powell of Third Day is releasing his first solo project August 21! The album is of course Country. :) He allowed his first single for download on ITunes via twitter. The song is titled "June Bug". Mac Powell stresses that he will continue with Third Day. The band is actually coming out with a new new album next year. Mac Powell describes this album like this: " There have been so many times in the past that I had a song idea that really didn't fit lyrically or musically with Third Day," Powell wrote on his blog. "I filed those songs away to the 'maybe someday' category. Well, that time is now."

Superchic[k] Leaving Lifest

Sadly, Superchic[k] will not be performing at Lifest this year. Here is what they have to say: "Following the announcement of their cancelled appearance at Lifest, the band Superchick, sent us this letter to share with you. They are one class act. Please keep them in prayer...   Dear Lifest,   We are incredibly sorry to not be joining you this year.  We've done lots of shows over the years but the first Lifest is one of my life's touchstones.  It was our first real show and despite no one knowing who we were and a last minute schedule change that wasn't in the program, thousands of you came and showed us what was possible for a little band from IL.  Matt's mother told me that after that show, Matt and Ben walked around with a grin on their face for an entire week.  For us that show was the beginning of an incredible journey and we were privileged to have you there.    Sadly this year, instead of joining you we are going to have to ask you for your prayers.

Lily Dally Update (daughter of Matt Dally/Superchic[k])

Lily Dally had to be put back on the breathing machine yesterday. Today (July 9) Lily neede a blood transfusion. Pray for Lily and her family!

Matt Dally of Superchic[k] Needs Prayer!

Matt Dally's wife went into pre-mature labor on June 28 on top of another condition, thus making the situation high risk. The baby, Lily Grace Dally,  was born around July 3. Lily wasn't due till October. Being only 27 weeks old Lilly's lungs are not developed properly, so she needs a breathing machine. Today though they are trying to see if she can breathe on her own. Please pray for Lily and her family! Here is what Matt Dally's says about Lily: Matt Dally ‏ @ Superchickmatt # babylily got off her breathing machine. Pray she takes to breathing through her nose! (July 6)

Melissa Brock Has Left Superchic[k]!

Image
Hello,   This was brought to my attention earlier this week. Apparently Melissa Brock left in January 2012. This is the article on Superchic[k]'s website. Melissa 1/14/2012 // news , on the road An Important Message From Melissa So 13 years ago, Max shared a vision with me called Superchick and I jumped on board. It was to share a message of hope for the hopeless, empowerment for the helpless, beauty to the ones who had long felt unbeautiful, grace for the broken and love for the ones who felt unloveable. It was a vision I felt more than excited to be a part of. So we started out on a musical journey that I had no idea how long it would last, where it would take us or who would want to be part of it. The last 13 years have taken me to places that I would have never travelled to. I have met people I would have never met. And, I have learned and grown in ways that I never would have. I would never for a million years change the Superchick time of my life. I now feel li

Hello,  Here is a music video I made to The Newsboys "Secret Kingdom". Check it out and tell me what you think!

WinterJam

Hey, Who's up for this WinterJam? It has already started,so you better get ready to go or you'll miss it! It's going to be great! The bands that you will see are Skillet, Peter Furler, Kari Jobe, Group 1 Crew, Building 429, Newsong, and Sanctus Real. That line up dosen't even include the Pre-Jam Party. The Pre-Jam Party is Dara McLean, We As Human, and For King and Country. Illusionist Brock Gill and speaker Nick Hall are also going to be there. At some locations Phil Joel will be assisting Peter Furler, so in a sense you could get 11 bands for ten dollars! You can also meet the artists afterward at the bands merch tables. Well, that's about it. Talk To You Later, KF

"God's Not Dead' CD Review

Image
Hello,   Here is my review of The Newsboys new CD "God's Not Dead". The CD is a worship album of sorts. It is more geared to reminding people that God is alive and He is coming back. The songs all show the guys passion for God. The new album includes some new songs as well as old favorites such as "Revalation Song", "Mighty To Save", and "Forever Reign". I really liked Michael Tait's vocals. He just worked so well on this kind of album. I have to give props to the background vocals as well. Jody Davis, Kevin Max, and Seth Mosley did very well singing. I don't know who did the high parts but great job! I really recommend this CD to everyone.                                                      Photo: Kaitlyn Fisk
